It's also home to March Joint Air Reserve Base, which borders the city along the Moreno Valley. Many people live in Riverside near the base.

Riverside Community Hospital is a large, inpatient treatment and trauma center serving the city. A second option for medical care is at Parkview Community Hospital Medical Center. Both medical centers provide inpatient and outpatient care to those in need.

Riverside is also home to the Riverside Convention Center, which offers more than 66,000 square feet of space for various events that take place throughout the year.
