Chandler is a prominent suburb of Phoenix, Arizona. Chandler is known for its annual Ostrich Festival since the city has a large agricultural basis. Chandler is home to the Hamilton Aquatics Center, which was named by the Arizona Parks and Recreation Association as a 2001 Outstanding Facility. There are more than 100 acres of wetlands with plenty of hiking and biking trails at Veterans Oasis Park/Environmental Education Center. Historic Downtown Chandler has plenty of shops and restaurants to enjoy as well as the Chandler Center for the Arts, which features many different talents in a world-class facility. One can explore the history of Chandler at the Chandler museum. The Bear Creek Golf Course is the most affordable Nicklaus Design 36 holes in Arizona. Rawhide, another popular place to visit, is an 1880s-themed western town that features wagon rides, panning for gold and Wild West shootouts. The town was in Scottsdale, but moved to Chandler in a new location in 2006. The Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park features one of the fastest quarter mile tracks in the country.
